Calamari salad is made with garbanzo beans and diced beans tossed with a lemon and oil dressing. This elegant, old world-style restaurant features dark woods, a fountain, and a comfortable ambience. Risotto makes as fine an appetizer as it does an entree. Start with the creamy seafood risotto made with salmon, shrimp, and scallops. Follow with the Veal Nunzio, medallions sautéed with cheese and topped with lump crabmeat and a lemon butter sauce.

[Due to road construction, Giuseppe's is open for lunch only until sometime in 2009.] Serving hungry diners since 1974, Giuseppe's has grown to incorporate three neighboring storefronts and now commands its city block. Basic southern Italian dishes fill the menu, and the authentic recipes have been passed down through three incarnations of St. Louis restaurants. Appetizers like toasted ravioli and sauteed calamari give way to filling entrees like veal parmagiano, sauteed chicken livers with onions, and classic spaghetti and meatballs.
