7. Soulard Farmers Market

This historic farmers market was founded in the late 18th century. The founder's widow deeded the land to the city on the condition it forever be used as a marketplace. The lively venue accommodates both indoor and outdoor vendors and is filled with specialty shops that sell everything from imported and locally grown produce, meats, fish and herbs to gourmet coffees, spices, baked goods and colorful flowers.   (© 10Best)
