Maria Major and Maria Minor are the two islands off St. Lucia's southeast coast that compose the Maria Islands Nature Reserve. On the 30 protected acres you will see more than 120 species of exotic plants and reptiles, several thought to be extinct outside of St. Lucia. The islands are also a bird refuge where you can see terns, the Caribbean martin, the tropicbird, and the brown noddy. The St. Lucia National Trust runs the tours to the island. Bring a picnic with you for the most scenic lunch in St. Lucia.   (© 10Best)
