4. Dasheene Restaurant and Bar

SOUFRIÈRE.   This is one of the most popular restaurants on St. Lucia, and with good reason – spectacular food and spectacular views of the Pitons make for a memorable meal. For a light lunch sample the Cajun Caesar Salad or the chilled Creole seafood soup. Dinner is an extravagant affair starting with smoked Kingfish Crpes or coconut soup. Your entrée choices change bi-annually but the tuna steak with coconut-avocado cream sauce or the chicken breast with pecan-and-peanut sauce are always good bets. The marinated sirloin is always excellent and the fresh catch of the day is grilled to perfection. Be sure to order the restaurant's signature side, Dasheene Palm Tree salad.
