CASTRIES.   This waterfront duty free complex got its name because it is located on the harbor where ships were "careened" to be cleaned and repaired. What was once a cargo shed is now two floors of boutiques selling fine china, crystal and jewelry. This is the place to find duty-free liquor, clothing made from traditional batik prints and specialty shops selling clothing made from natural island fibers.   (© 10Best)
