5. Palm Arboretum

ST. PETERSBURG.   Occupying the site of a former miniature golf course, this beautiful arboretum was dedicated in 1977. On the two-acre site, approximately 200 specimens representing dozens of species provide visual and horticultural interest. Aficionados are particularly impressed by the selection and the wealth of mature trees. Brick paths, seating, and other conveniences cater to visitors. Disabled accessible.   (© 10Best)
