ST. PETE BEACH. The prospect of lazy, easy-going beach life issues a siren's call to visitors at Pass-a-Grille, whose name is derived from the French settlers who used to grill their daily catch in the vicinity. The beach itself is long and only a block or so deep. It also enjoys a reputation as being one of the best local places to take in the sunset. In fact, once day-trippers leave the sands, other visitors trickle in, eager to enjoy the views and the descending calm. (© 10Best) More Details for Pass-a-Grille Public Beach
