DUNEDIN.   Incredible vistas of the water and of distant islands recommend this fantastic restaurant, whose cuisine is as seductive as the view. The menu sports such luscious fare as roasted lamb shank with merlot sauce, chargrilled salmon with cucumber-dill dressing, sauteed veal sweetbreads, and roasted half-duckling. Steaks, pastas, and shellfish can also be had and provide a flavorful prelude to Swiss chocolate mousse, bourbon pecan pie, and Dutch apple cheesecake. Great for special occasions and Sunday brunch too.   (© 10Best)

I have dined at this restaurant a half dozen times and found good service only twice, along with inconsistent food quality. Rack of lamb has been overdone on two occasions and last month's shrimp cocktail contained rubbery, tastless shrimp. A few nights ago I watched as the owner berated a customer who asked that the one blind next to their table stay lowered because she had a vision problem with bright sun. You can enjoy better food and better value at other restaurants.

The food is typical of the generic fare you get in a retirement community. The title of the restaurant is deceptive and the service is snooty and slow for absolutely no good reason. The filet mignon was overdone and void of any taste. The side dishes were not memorable. The view is lovely, but for the prices they ask you would be better of having a picnic on the beach with food purchased at Publix.
