ST. PETERSBURG.
Excellent Pacific Rim cuisine allows this creative establishment to carve out its own desirable niche in St. Petersburg's dining scene. The kitchen has a way with fresh fish and shellfish, as showcased in wok-flashed Tiger shrimp with Shanghai noodles. More terrene options include red-roasted duck breast with pad Thai noodles. Dishes benefit from spicy chiles, crisp vegetables, fresh herbs, kaffir limes, and other fruits. The excitement of the menu also comes across in unusual pairings of texture, flavor, and temperature. An ideal foray into the extraordinary.

An upscale restaurant that serves uniquely exquisite tastes blending Pacific Rim cuisine with good old fashioned American. My wife and I were lucky enough to dine there this past Valentine's Day with reservations made weeks prior... The atmosphere, even on a small tabletop placed no more than 4 feet from my neighbor, was still quite romantic. Ask for a booth if you book as the booths are spacious and cozy with tinted glass as a buffer between you and your neighbor. I had the one of the specials of the day, which was buffalo (my personal favorite), and it was butter knife tender! My wife had the house specialty mixed grill, which consists of shrimp, scallops and a fresh Hawaiian butter fish. All dishes are served with flair and in fact the couple next to us were remarking about the appetizer looking so wonderful they didn't want to eat it! Service was wonderfully absent for most of the meal – I don't want to go to dinner with the server, if you know what I mean. My only wish is that the place was larger so that the bar/sushi bar could be removed for a more intimate setting.

The food and atmosphere was nice but the manager on duty refused to take a coupon sent to me for my birthday. This was embarrassing for me and all the people (5) that were with me stated that they will never go back. For the price you pay for the food it is not worth being hassled in such a way. I hope Pacific Wave begins to empower their managers to take care of customers and not abuse them.
