Take a trip on the Badger (www.badgerdundee.org.uk) under both Tay bridges and along the river Tay to Elcho Castle. Built around 1570, this well-preserved castle is the seat of the Earl of Wemyss. Uninhabited, it is occasionally used by the Wemyss family for wild parties. The Badger is a ten-metre-long Nelson Class Launch, which is manned by enthusiastic volunteers who love sailing people around the Tay. This trip takes around five hours and entrance to the castle is extra (it's run by Historic Scotland). The Badger also does trips out to the mouth of the Tay to watch the pods of dolphins who joyfully leap and dive under and around the boat.
