I stumbled upon this wonderful place while looking for a unique activity to do with my husband and 3 children while visiting my parents in Stamford, CT. We set up an hour and a half workshop with one of the pottery teachers, who was warm and caring. He patiently led the five of us through the process of working with clay, how to construct, decorate and design our piece. We had a great time and even my 7 year old achieved a beautiful little lantern that we put a candle in and light each night at dinner! The studio was clean and organized and the other people there, students, artists and other teachers, seemed like they were one big family. The pottery they have on display that the teachers and students have done is beautiful, (the glazes they have are incredible!) and in addition to the sculpting that we did as a family they also teach the potters wheel (they have ten pottery wheels!) to beginners to advanced students. That’s what the kids asked for when we visit again!
