Does the prospect of driving in snow or ice give you chills? Then you'll be happy to know that the most respected winter driving school in the country is located right in Steamboat Springs. Classes are available as half-day and full-day programs, and all involve an hour of classroom instruction plus driving on the school's one-mile snow- and ice-covered track, complete with hills and banked turns. First Gear is a four-hour course focusing on safety and driver confidence. Second, Third and Fourth Gear are full-day programs, with an hour of classroom time and four+ hours on the track.
