Located in nearby Purcellville, Nichols Hardware is a long-standing tradition that's reported to be one of the oldest hardware stores in the nation and is still owned by the original owning family. It's a local favorite boasting an old-timey atmosphere. Inventory includes hardware items as well as one-of-a-kind gifts. Receipts are still written by hand and service given with a smile. An odd mix of general store and sandwich shop, Partlow's is an Ashburn icon that you simply have to visit if nearby. The store has withstood the test of time, offering everyting from fishing bait to video rentals. Today it sells hearty sandwiches and is also a butcher shop. It's worth a visit to appreciate the historic architecture and small town ambiance that exists in this old-timey store.
