This ornate clock and fountain make for a majestic sight amid the square and surrounding shops and restaurants. American journalist George Childs gave the monument to the city in commemoration of Queen Victoria's 1887 Jubilee.

Bancroft Gardens is one of the most popular spots in the city. This riverside area offers some spectacular views of the city, particularly the Gower Memorial, Trinity Church, and the Royal Theatre. The garden is home to several species of ducks and a nice population of geese. All of the city's river cruises are located here.
