In 1956, this cape was chosen by the National Trust as Britain's Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nineteen miles of breathtaking scenery make up this world of splendor. The area is thought of as a part of Swansea, but is contains a separate identity with its own vernacular, past, and traditions. Many visit this area to take advantage of the sun and surfing provided by the beaches or the daredevil recreational activities, including rock climbing and hang gliding. Others enjoy scenic walks which afford views of the cliffs and marshes that define the paradoxical north and south coasts. (© 10Best) More Details for Gower PeninsulaHours: 24 hours.
