CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT.   Given its island location, Australia has placed much importance on ocean culture. The museum encourages visitors to tap into Australia's essence through displays about the discovery and exploration of the country and the arrival of immigrants in seven thematic areas. Make sure to see the whale skull and the Olympic winning boats on display. Free one-hour guided tours of the James Craig, a sailing ship, are available as well. MONORAIL: to Harbourside station. The museum itself is not to bad but the best bit is being able to go over the warships out side that are tied up in Darling Harbour
