CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT. Tourists and locals flock to this gallery (housed in a building that dates to 1885) to see the country's largest collection of aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art. It also shelters a strong collection of 19th and 20th century Australian art and an impressive collection of Asian art. The gallery also features several international exhibitions each year. There are free shows for children around 2.30pm on most Sundays. BUS: 441 from Queen Victoria Building, or walk from Martin Place or St. James train stations.
