CIRCULAR QUAY. The name is actually a bit misleading since this building shelters much more than just an opera house. In fact, it includes five different performance spaces: a concert hall, an opera theatre and three spaces for dramatic arts. In addition, concerts and festivals are given outside in the courtyard area. The best way to get into most performance halls is by viewing a performance or by taking an official tour (several of which run daily and last about an hour each, for best value, book online). If you decide to explore on your own, follow the path that winds around the building to get many different perspectives on the structure. A few interesting tidbits: The roof is composed of over one million tiles in two colors, and the construction of the building in the mid-20th century cost about AUD102 million. BUS, TRAIN, FERRY: to Circular Quay. (© 10Best) Top Products for Sydney Opera HouseBuy your tickets now and save ... before you go!
