DARLINGHURST.   Q Bar pulls in a mixed crowd who enjoy the bar, the dance floor, and the array of pool tables. Computer games and pinball machines provide distraction when you take a break from dancing, and there's even an area to relax in when you just want to veg out for a moment. It's something of an old stand-by in the city, never cutting-edge but always reliable. Q Bar has a 24 hour license, so hours vary depending on the crowd. Buses run from Elizabeth Street to Oxford Street (numbers 378, 380, 382).   (© 10Best)

This place is GREAT!. My fave city venue. The patrons & staff always friendly…& with the pool tables & arcade games, Q Bar caters for every mood. The music could be improved, I think they need a better variance between the two rooms (is: Dance/Funk as opposed to Funk/funk). The only real disappointment is that the lounge area is available to MEMBERS ONLY & its never been FREE ENTRY as far as I know, I think we usually pay about $15 to $20 to get in & its via the Lizard lounge entry. Other than that it’s a fantastic place to hang out & enjoy good company.
