SURRY HILLS.   This adaptable venue hosts both local bands and bigger-name performers. Plus, it gives up-and-comers a chance to prove themselves in front of an audience. One of the few places in town to play live music nightly, the "Hoey" is known for rock music, although the bands that play have a diverse range. As an added bonus, international acts sometimes show up for live performances, and record scouts frequent the place in hopes of finding the next big act. Relaxed, low-key, and fun. Great place if you want to have a great night out without spending too much. Especially on Sundays.
