BONDI BEACH.   Situated above the Icebergs swimming pool on Bondi Beach, this bar and restaurant allow sensational views of Sydney's most famous beach and the Pacific Ocean. The food is Italian with dishes such as char-grilled quail, grape salad and salmoriglio - and the style is fine dining. It's a favourite haunt for local celebrities. The bar also serves a selection of gourmet snacks such as polenta chips with sour cream from 12pm. If it's fish and chips rather than hand-dived scallops that you're after, the casual Icebergs Bistro at the same address also offers good views but much more affordable prices.
