Forget the sombreros, cacti and the sunset palette, Vera Cruz is a slick and contemporary Mexican restaurant with a clean, modern feel. Owner Annette Zubani takes her inspiration from the spiritual process of traditional Mexican cooking (as in the movie 'Like Water for Chocolate'). She trained in and annually visits Oaxaca in central Mexico to update and refresh. Many of the authentic ingredients are imported.
