Built in 1898, this Byzantine-style sandstone building now shelters Sydney's most beautiful shopping center. The structure, which resembles a palace, features 21 domes, each of which is 65 feet in diameter. Before its makeover in the 1980s, the building was home to a fresh produce market and then government offices. The large statue of Queen Victoria in front of the building originally stood outside of the Irish Parliament until 1947 and was a gift from the people of Ireland. TRAIN: to Town Hall Station.
