DOWNTOWN.   As regional museums go, this is one of the nation's largest and finest examples. Over 300 years of natural, cultural, artistic and industrial history are presented in a variety of permanent and special exhibits. One of the largest exhibits is dedicated to the Underground Railroad, and the city's role in that institution. This museum is a "look don't touch" place, so young children will need to be monitored.   (© 10Best)
