1. Carrier Dome

DOWNTOWN.   "The Dome," as it is affectionately called around Syracuse, has been a focal point of the city since it opened in 1980. This 50,000-seat stadium is located on the Syracuse University campus and is home to SU's football, basketball and lacrosse teams. In addition, they often host NCAA championship tournaments and sporting events such as Olympic ice-skating. Billy Joel, U2, The Who and Pink Floyd are just a sampling of the international names that have staged concerts here. The box office is located just inside gate B.
