5. Tallahassee-St. Marks Historic RR State Trail

From Florida’s capital to the coast of St. Marks, the Historic Railroad State Trail offers bikers, runners, skaters and horseback riders a 20-mile workout with a splash of history. The very first step on this Tallahassee hiking trail was once the start of cotton transportation routes from plantations to the Gulf coast for shipping. More accommodating than Tallahassee parks, this trail has paved routes that offer 6 miles to the Tallahassee Marathon every year.   (© 10Best)
