11. JCVD Film Premiere

The Buzz -- The FSU Film school will be premiering the film JCVD on Friday, February 13th at the Miracle 5. JCVD is Van Damme playing himself. He's broke and out of work, he has just lost custody of his daughter, and he cannot pay his cab fare in his hometown of Brussels, Belgium. When he steps into a local bank to get some cash, shots are heard, and the security gates come down. Has he finally been broken? Is the pressure of fame become too much for the aging action star? This tongue in cheek meta-action film by French director, Mabrouk el Mechri, shows a new, sensitive, and powerfully human side of the 80s action star.
