2. Donatello

Our family dined here on Valentine's night, so it was not a relaxing environment at all. I have never felt so rushed before in a restaurant in all of my life. We were greeted by an older man when we arrived who was very friendly and hospitable, but our waiter was less than what we had hoped for. It would have been worth it if the food were great, but the food was just ok. Would not return.

Best Italian in Tampa. The homemade fried mozzarella is the best ever. Whatever you order, you can't go wrong. Desert is a must.

Our first dining experience at Donatello left us with no desire for a repeat performance. It took the host 15 minutes past our reservation time to seat us. There were so many tables in the dining room you could barely walk around. There was so little room between tables that the wait staff would bump our chairs every time they walked by us. It was very, very noisy and certainly not an intimate atmosphere….Dinner for 4 with 2 $50 bottles of wine & a tip came to $400. Certainly not worth it…
