PALMA CEIA.   The stunning bay views and hunger remedies of this Tampa Bay seafood restaurant are somewhat of a local secret, and visitors who happen upon this Tampa gem appreciate it as such. Patrons especially enjoy Colonnade’s Alaska salmon, Gulf grouper and stone crab, and hearty seafood platters. Seafood pastas and tasty Po-boys are also menu favorites, and all mains at Colonnade are served with vegetables, tossed salad and delicious hot corn muffins. Colonnade is kid-friendly as well, with a Little Fisherman’s menu for younger mateys.   (© 10Best)

solid
It is true that the colonnade's customers tend to be a little older but I don't think that affect the quality of the food. Overall the food is very solid. We had the special of the day which was a white fish. Mine was lightly breaded, moist and had a pleasant taste. My wife's was broiled, light and also had a nice taste. The sides were a inconsistent as my rice was very good but the salad was pretty bland. The complementary bread was very good. Again, a nice solid place to eat.

This place is awful. I can't believe it made a top 10 list. There are far better restaurants in Tampa. Everyone is age 55 or older and the food was on par with Red Lobster (although that might be a bit of an insult to Red Lobster). Lots of fried foods. The non-fried foods were greasy and swimming in butter. Overcooked vegetables and unappealing salads.

This restaurant is absolutely horrible. It is a tourist trap with a beautiful view of the bay, but while dining there the service was sub par, the food was of poor quality and my feet were covered in small bug bites by the time I left. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
