8. Mel's Hot Dogs

“REAL” Chicago dogs right here in Tampa. Lots of fun hot dog collectables on the walls. There isn't a better hot dog joint anywhere. Not even in Chicago!

This is by far the best hot dogs ever!! I travel extensively throughout the US and whenever I'm in FL, I will visit Mel's. It is worth the trip from anywhere!

It is a great restaurant to eat at and if I could pick one I would pick this one. It has great taste and also it is a very clean place to eat also the people are friendly, and the service is fast and great also.

Whenever the wife and I took a Florida vacation we would stop at Mel's. Then about 12 years ago we had children and because of school and such we couldn't get back until this week Oct-2003 and Mel's is still the best place for hotdogs, Clean as could be, the food taste great, Mel's still working in the kitchen and joined us for a family photo... the place just hasn't changed. Well Mel looks a tad bit older. Even if your in Orlando its worth the drive.
