About 10Best's Tampa Restaurants Selections:
Visited by refreshing ocean breezes off the Gulf of Mexico, pleasant patios and sidewalk tables are a huge draw at many of Tampa's restaurants. The popular historic district of Ybor City bustles with hungry travelers who dig the city's selection of fresh seafood and flavorful Latin American eats. Serving the neighborhood for over 100 years, Columbia Restaurant delivers scrumptious paella and Spanish wines in an airy Mediterranean-style dining room. Away from the tourist crowds, the Hyde Park neighborhood offers a plethora of interesting choices, especially along the trendy S. Howard Avenue stretch, known as "SoHo," where uber-stylish establishments tempt clientele with inventive, internationally influenced menus. At Ceviche Tapas Bar and Restaurant, patrons sip wine and nibble on Northern Spanish delicacies on a lovely covered terrace, while the sophisticated eatery known as Water serves up hip cocktails and unusual presentations of sushi.

Wow! If you want authentic cajun/creole cuisine, this is the place to go. The chef came out to the table to check on us, and we learned that he is straight out of New Orleans. The portions were large, and the prices were reasonable. The food was excellent.

The famous stuffed pizza that is widely desired and enjoyed in Chicago – now here. This particular location is new to Brandon. I understand that in the soon future another Giordano's Italian Restaurant will be opening on Dale Mabry near the Tampa Stadium. You must try everything on the menu including the delicious soup selections. Yum!

Off the beaten path, but situated inside a large marina right on the water, Rattle Fish is my new favorite restaurant. It's casually elegant inside, a blend perhaps of Margaritaville and Morton's Steakhouse, and the back deck is party central with a live band and an outstanding view of the water. I can assure you the atmosphere is rivaled only by the food. From a sushi-style Ahi tuna sandwich, to Cajun crab dip, to more traditional seafood dishes, this place truly has it all. Even my wife, who detests seafood, found this to be one of her favorite places in Tampa. | |
