9. Westshore Plaza

AIRPORT AREA.   It’s hard to imagine Tampa, FL shopping without air-conditioning, but when Westshore Plaza opened in the 1960s, it was one of Florida's first air-conditioned malls. Located near the airport, this Tampa mall is definitely “cool,” whether you’re talking about the respite it provides from the hot Florida sun or the fashionable collection of shops and anchors that occupy the building. In addition to Old Navy, Gap, and Saks Fifth Avenue, Westshore Plaza includes several popular eateries. PF Chang’s and The Palm steakhouse are ideal lunch or dinner stops.   (© 10Best)
