1. Kaisen Sushi

Literaly the best sushi I have had in Tampa . The attention to detail and quality of everything is of the highest order.

As good as Nobu in Miami without the crowds!

If you like fresh fish, Kaisen is for you. The chef uses fresh local catches that you most likely will not find on the menu of any other restaurant. Things like bonito which has a wonderfully deep red flesh. Served several ways, my favorite is tataki style sashimi with a Japanese garlic sauce. Also blue runner, a small bait fish, but wonderful nigiri or sashimi style. Local fare is offered based on availability. Grouper, snapper, amberjack. Look on the special board. Keeps me coming back. Try a fish wing or the geso (squid legs), yum.

Hands Down- One of if not the best sushi restaurant in Tampa. Awesome food - great value! I do not work there - trust me I ate there on my birthday last year. It is that good and I am considered a regular at virtually every sushi bar in Tampa - This is probably the best one around. Try the original rolls created there as well.
