About Telluride

Few places enjoy a setting as beautiful as does Telluride, a tiny mountain village set on the banks of the San Miguel River and surrounded by the San Juan Mountains' granite and red sandstone peaks. Until the early 20th century, mining was the town's chief vocation, and Telluride flourished in its heyday, as Victorian homes and such beautiful buildings as the Courthouse and New Sheridan Hotel testify.
