MLB Tickets

Every year millions of baseball fans count down until the first Sunday in April, the most important day in the year, Opening Day for Major League Baseball (MLB). The MLB has 30 professional baseball teams, 14 in the American League and 16 in the National League. Every baseball season fans flock to see their favorite team play for spot in the coveted World Series. Every team plays 162 games during the regular season which spans from April until October. The MLB controls most aspects of baseball for both the American and National league. Although the sport of baseball has been around since the late 1800’s, techniques and skills of baseball players are constantly being revamped. Beginning in 2000, baseball players began to play with more power than ever before, averaging 40-50 home runs per season! The Philadelphia Phillies are the current World Series Champions; however they don’t come close to the New York Yankees in wins. The New York Yankees have won the World Series 26 times! The 2008 MLB was full of surprises and upsets, including the incredible comeback of the Tampa Bay Rays who went from the worst team to the best team. The beloved New York Yankees failed to make it the playoffs during their last season in the old Yankee Stadium. Support your favorite team with MLB tickets! Good baseball tickets can be hard to find with many older stadiums having limited seating and home games selling out. National League Baseball

The National League of the MLB is the oldest league in baseball, having been founded in 1876. Sometimes referred to as the “Senior Circuit,” National League teams have won the World Series 43 times, falling shortly behind the American League. The National League currently holds the World Series title, with the Philadelphia Phillies winning in 2008. In 1994 the National League divided into three geographical divisions. The National League is thought of as a more traditional league because they never adopted the designated hitter rule like the American League. Watch the East Division's Atlanta Braves, Florida Marlins, New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Washington Nationals. Watch the Central Division's Chicago Cubs, Cincinnati Reds, Houston Astro, Milwaukee Brewers, Pittsburg Pirates, and St. Louis Cardinals. Watch The West Division's Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants. After a surprising comeback, the Tampa Bay Rays are the 2008 American League Pennant champions. Like the National League, the American League is divided into three geographical divisions. Support the East Division with Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, Tampa Bay Rays, and Toronto Blue Jays.
