WEST END. In 1901, Edward Drummond Libbey (of the Libbey Glass Factory) and his wife founded the Toledo Museum of Art. This museum has two main buildings: the Museum of Art, which houses the galleries and exhibits, and the Center for Visual Arts, which houses the museum's library and the University of Toledo's art department. World-renowned paintings, sculpture and decorative arts are found here. The Center for Visual Arts, a very modern building created by Frank Gehry, is itself an amazing architectural piece. Located on the outskirts of the West End near downtown. Offers school tours.
