 EDITOR REVIEW: NEAR WEST END. Quietly located in a residential area west of downtown, this Plateresque (a 16th century Spanish architectural style) cathedral is unique in North America. It is beautiful and massive – an anomaly for its location in an understated neighborhood. Inside, there are mosaic altars, paintings, wall frescoes all the way to the ceilings and a fabulous stained glass rose window.
