S.S. Boyer rude to vacationers
My family and I toured Toledo during our vacation in August from Cincinnati. We enjoyed every attraction. The one we were most excited about was the biggest disappointment. We arrived to the S.S. Willis B. Boyer Friday August 28th at 4pm to show our daughter what we had been telling her about all week long. As we were walking up the plank to enter the ship a old man wearing glasses came out and shut the door in our faces and stated they were closed. We told the man the sign said you close at 5pm and that we promised to take our daughter on this ship all week. He reopened the door and restated they were closed without explanation and shut it again. We were shocked at the treatment we were given and terribly disappointed for our daughter who had been excited about going on this ship all week. The incident caused her to cry and we were embarrassed. We were recording on video our daughter with her father going up the plank and have the official time stamp of 3:59 pm on the tape so we know we were not late. We still had an hour to go. This is an attraction I would advise avoiding.
