3. Murphy's Place

Walking down the thin stairs, down to the restaurant felt as if I was in the Beat Era in NY. Very cool, and welcoming. To hear the saxophone's smooth sound, the acoustics of the pianist, the bass player. Sitting at the square and rectangle tables with their tea-light candles lighting a beautiful ambiance for tired travelers. The bartender was very helpful and didn't mind making me food after the grill was closed. The only complaint I had was that I didn't get any service for my order until after the first session. Which I can understand is because they didn't want to disturb Greg Osby and his quartet, but I was famished. Once I did receive the food I was amazed the presentation was great for a measly $15, and after I had eaten and explained my plight they were constantly making sure I was doing well by refilling the drinks and inquire as to my other needs. A+++ for the ability to turn an upset customer to a guaranteed regular!
