4. Heritage Toronto – Walking Tours

The tour leaders are always well-informed, capable researchers who love the area they lead us through. Their enthusiasm is refreshing and contagious. Anyone who cares about Toronto's land, streams, rivers, buildings and history will find much to enjoy on any tour they choose to take. The delight of the tour is augmented by the concise brochures which may serve as a guide to future explorations of each of the areas. The tour leaders are ably assisted by other volunteers who schlep the microphone machine, shepherd the visitors safely along the sidewalks and keep them from treading on the property and courtesy of the neighbourhood. Thanks also to those who are members of Heritage Toronto. If one should be unable to take a tour could one send money to cover the cost of the printed tour guide? Dare one hope that the Heritage Organization might have collaborated or plan to collaborate with an author to produce a book based on the tours? My profound thanks to the many who do so much to delight and instruct us Torontonians.
