DOWNTOWN.   For decades now, the Roof Lounge has been favored by a well-educated, impeccably dressed and moneyed crowd including actors, business executives, writers and fashionable society types. The swanky space on the 17th floor has a fabulous view, along with elegant décor and professional staff, some of whom have been here nearly as long as the bar itself.
