WEST TORONTO. Housed in a restored historic circa 1890 building with wood floors, exposed brick walls and other original features, Coca became a trendy hotspot seemingly overnight. At ground level is a casual bar where people meet and hang out while sipping Spanish wine and nibbling tapas. The namesake coca (a flatbread topped with anything from duck confit to sardines to tapenade) is a sure bet, but the options are extensive. Upstairs is a slightly more upscale dining room – if the bar downstairs is too crowded or you just prefer a more traditional setting, it’s great.
