MIDTOWN.   Il Mulino holds a number of prestigious awards, including nods from DiRoNA and Wine Spectator. The simple yet attractive dining room, enhanced with candles and white linens, is ideal for a romantic dinner, although high ceilings mean the noise level can occasionally be a bit high. Traditional Italian cuisine is on the menu – start with a colorful salad or beautifully presented carpaccio, then enjoy linguine with smoked duck and truffle oil or spaghettini with shrimp. Veal Piccata, beef tenderloin and rack of lamb are all excellent. The wine selection is impressive with many available by the glass.   (© 10Best)

Great decor and service. However, they are inconsistent. I have tried them several times, and they can really create unbelievable food, or leave you wondering what went wrong. Tables are in high demand so book early. Overall a good choice.
