WEST TORONTO.   Since the mid-70s, this family owned enterprise has been providing artisanal cheeses to enraptured Torontoans. It's a hive of activity here, with some people dropping by simply to check out the cheese-aging cave. Others flock here for the free samples, rarely leaving without a purchase of some sort. And it may not even be cheese. Joining ranks with all this dairy goodness are a host of imported delicacies (Turkish figs, Italian olive oil, Hungarian paprika), premium deli meats, hard-to-find produce (fingerling potatoes, truffles), chocolates, coffees and more. Enjoy some of these gourmet treats in the café; alternatively, pick up the makings of an indulgent picnic lunch. The shop provides cheeses to all the top restaurants in town as well.   (© 10Best)

I have been a customer of Cheese Boutique for over 30 years. I live downtown but once every few weeks after having taken my dogs to High Park for a visit with a friend and his dog, I drop by for a visit and make a purchase. Over the years, I have been very pleased with your goods and your service. I can get the same goods for less downtown but I still come to your store for the pleasure of it. I send many of many friends to you as I was raised in the Kingsway and so many of my friends are still living there second generation. I have just returned from your store, having made a small purchase ( cash $50+ ). You were out of large lentil soups so I was going to buy two of them. I asked the cashier, a young woman if she had any larger ones or if she would give me two small one's for the price of one large one as I usually buy large ones. She arranged for a large hot soup to be made for me. As I walked away, the thin male cashier made a comment about charging the price that was on the soup. My friend was at the counter and overheard this. He felt it was poor customer service as I do. COnsistently, this young slender man is the only member of your staff who is rude and cavalier in his comments. I am not an elitist but as someone who cares for people's needs constantly, I like my soup served with a dose of grace and customer service. This staff member is consistently below average compared to your other staff. Perhaps he needs to go back to the stock room. Regards, MC
