DOWNTOWN.   Food & Wine magazine included Toronto's St. Lawrence Market on its list of the 25 best food markets worldwide. The complex consists of three buildings. The North Market was originally Town Hall, but today is used for private and promotional functions as well as a farmer's market on summer Saturdays and an antiques market on Sundays year round. The ground floor of the South Market has more than 50 year-round vendors (more in the summer) selling fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, meats, gourmet condiments, baked goods, flowers, herbs and candy. Finally, St. Lawrence Hall houses a restaurant, bank and offices. This is a great place to pick up the makings of a fabulous picnic!   (© 10Best)

Went here with my hostess on the last day so we could pick up fresh goods for dinner. This market is massive and has everything: fresh produce, meat, nuts, coffee, pastries, homemade goods, clothes, toys, etc. Be sure to check out the market on both sides of the street.
