ASDM -- best attraction in Tucson
I lived in Tucson for 2 years and I absolutely loved it, but the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum is by far my favorite attraction. If you're here for a vacation, this is the #1 place you have to visit. It's a zoo, botanical garden, and nature trail all in one. You'll see just about every animal and plant that's native to the area, and there are even some free-range animals that have made a home of the park. It's far enough from the city that it's quiet and peaceful, but it's not a major drive like other attractions, such as Kitt Peak Observatory, Bisbee or Tombstone. It's reasonably priced and the docents are helpful. My favorite animals are the javelinas -- you might need to be patient, but they're around and you'll see them if you look hard enough! Best place in Tucson by far!!
