Owned by 20-something brothers Josh and Aric Mussman, Vero Amore makes what is possibly the best pizza in Tucson. Adhering to the standards set forth by the Verace Pizza Napoletana Association (arbiters of fine Neapolitan pizza), the restaurant bakes in a brick, wood-burning oven, using fresh mozzarella made in-house and roma tomatoes imported directly from Italy. This is pizza for grownups, the object of almost irrational cravings. In keeping with the high quality of the pies, salads and dressings are all super fresh and homemade, and the couple of pastas on the menu are divine.

Best Pizza Ever
Every time i come into this place the food is amazing. My favorite thing is to come in at lunch and split a capresse salad. If i have time in my busy schedule to come in at night i have a quattro formaggi. The service is consistent.. they know my name when i come through the door. Not too much eye candy except a young beautiful dark haired beauty... but she doesnt work much.. but the foods worth coming in. I think the pizza is one of a kind made with great ingredients cant go wrong with the smell of smokey pecan when you walk into a pizza place

My family moved here from Italy and we have been reminiscing about the pizza there ever since. This pizza is exactly right, just like we remember! Outstanding service and family friendly as well!!

This is the best pizza in Tucson, probably in Arizona, possibly in the US. These are absolutely authentic Naples pizzas, just like right out of Italy. Fantastic crispy chewy crust, authentic hand made buffalo mozzarella, subtle but exquisite sauce. These pizzas are simple elegance. It’s great fun to watch them being made then popped into the wood oven. Don’t be expecting New York Pizza smothered in cheese, or the stuff that passes for pizza around here- Don’t get me wrong, I love NY Pizza and LOVE cheese- but these pizzas are about quality; each is like a little work of art. My favorites are the Margherita and Anima!
