Poor at best, have never had a good meal in many trips to both locations

The carna seca beef was very good. Eating in the outdoor courtyard was wonderful as we could see the suspended box where the angus beef was sun-dried for their signature dish. Great service! Good prices.

El Charro Cafe has captured me! I truly felt like a part of their family. I was lucky enough to meet Carlotta, the owner and head chef, she was delightful and truly passionate about her restaurant and the food. Since then, I have visited all of the other locations and I continue to enjoy their TASTY food and margaritas. This restaurant is truly unique to Tucson and should get better recognition!

Walked, out after drinks. Tried their signature 85th anniversary margarita(passion), tasteless, not authentic. Prickly pear margarita didn't taste like prickly pear. Very plain generic chips, hot but tasteless red sauce. Classic margarita is 1/3 good but not necessisarily great tequila, 1/3 lime juice and 1/3 triple sec. You can make it sweeter by adding addition triple sec or grand marnier

We started going to Charro back in the 70's when we came here to visit family, have many friends who come to visit since we moved here and they always want to go to Charro. Good food, good atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices. As far as we are concerned, El Charro is Tucson personified.

The Manchaca beef is excellent in any dish and the Mexican chocolate ice cream is delicious.
