NORTHEAST.   The number one rule for dining at Pinnacle Peak is "No Ties Allowed." Should you arrive sporting one, it will be promptly chopped off and added to the ever-growing collection hanging from the ceiling. Folks love the fun Old-West ambience here, and they love the food just as much. Most order mesquite-grilled steaks (this is the home of the Cowboy Steak, after all), but seafood is well-prepared, too. Dinners come with salad, beans and bread, but you can also order sides of corn-on-the-cob and mashed potatoes. Polish off your meal with a bowl of warm apple or cherry cobbler.   (© 10Best)

I took my wife to Pinnacle Peak after raving about it for a few years. We went on our 12th anniversary. We were herded in like cattle. The food was cold. The coffee was terrible. The dinner rolls were store bought. I was telling my wife about the shaved steak they would bring out sizzling on a cast iron platter and the delicious beans and homemade biscuits/bread. But what we got were three 1/4 inch thick slices of what looked like canned meat in the shape of sliced spam. The meat was flavorless. The beans had less flavor than a can from the grocery store. It was nasty! We have not been back since and I tell everyone about our experience. I really can not understand how they are still in business. 14 years ago, before we got married it was a great place to eat. Sad to say, not anymore. They are living on their old reputation, but the food is terrible. I very seriously doubt many go back after one visit and most that go there are out of towners.I would actually give them a negative star rating if I could.
