Born and reared outside of Chicago, IL, he pursued his strong passion for food, starting as a prep cook at the age of 16 and with the love, passion, devotion and dedication to providing the best quality of food, consistency, creativity and service that he knew how, progressively worked his way to the top. Coming from a long family background in the hospitality industry his family built and opened two restaurants over the years. One in IL as a New Orleans style Smokehouse and the other in Arizona an Italian restaurant called the Capri. Chef Torrey has dedicated the last 23 years of his life to the art of cooking, possessing experience in all aspects of the culinary art. Torrey has been a Chef in many restaurants ranging from small mom and pops breakfast houses, and petit lunch cafes all the way through to 4 & 5 star/diamond fine dining establishments. The most recent years being in Tucson, AZ, in places likes Windows, Soliel, Daniel's, and Anthony's in the Catalina's. His cooking ability ranges from simple breakfast dishes to extravagant coursed menus. He emphasizes his culinary creativity and experience more on Italian and French cuisine but not limited too many other regional cuisine and styles. Torrey has developed numerous menus for any event including both restaurants and catering that have received many recognitions and awards.
